Highlights from 2025

Happy New Year - I am writing this on the 1st day of the new year, 2026. In the Chinese calendar it is the year of the Fire Horse? Not understanding the meaning of this I turned to AI. I like what it said.... "symbolising dynamic energy, bold action, freedom, and forward momentum after the introspective Year of the Snake (2025). It's a time for transformation, pursuing goals with passion, breakthroughs, and making swift, decisive moves" concluding with "2026 is a year to "ride the wind," transforming lessons from the past into powerful forward progress with fiery passion and clarity." BRING IT ON!!

Whilst being an absolute novice in the world of the Chinese Zodiac. I do agree that 2025, the year of the wood snake, was spot on. "a year of rebirth and renewal". The biggest joy of my 2025 was my renewed love for dried flowers and my skills as a florist and not just a business owner. Although the rebirth part was quite stressful (please read my last blog - 2025 a year of change). The results have given me the freedom to have the head space to create again, design and make beautiful dried wedding flowers for nearly a hundred couples, run a few unique workshops and build a new website.

Here's a few of my favorites in no particular order. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the couples for sending me pictures from their special days.

A bride holding a bouquet, of forest green, sage, blue and white dried flowers with a pop of yellow, in a softly blurred indoor setting

I am looking forward to 2026 and working with lots more couples to create their wedding flowers, both dried and fresh.

Best Wishes

Nicola
