About Me
The Dried Flower Shop was born back in 2015, when a bride approached me to create a dried flower wedding bouquet. She also wanted dried flowers for her bridesmaids and the wedding venue. It was exciting to create an original boho, rustic look for her. The pictures were amazing and the comments extremely encouraging. I have been a florist for 36 years now and when I first started back in 1989 dried flowers were the trend. The trend has gone full circle, and dried flowers are popular once again.
So I decided to build a website and an online shop offering our services to brides all over the UK. The beauty of dried flowers is they can be ordered and delivered in advance of the wedding day and they can be kept as keepsakes, a memory of your special day.
An email from a bride confirmed this ; "Thank you so so much for the flowers. I loved the bridal party flowers and the flowers for the room. They were perfect. The flowers for my wedding were amazing. I still have my bouquet on my mantel piece and so does my sister. X". I haven’t looked back since.
In 2020 the Dried & Wild Letterbox range was launched and the range of gift flowers and home décor has steadily increased over the years. All the items have been designed so they can be sturdily packed and safely delivered in the post.
Lots of the materials used in The Dried Flower Shop designs are dried on site. Others are sourced and grown within the UK. I even grow a few flowers and grasses myself. Certain wedding designs have been created in which all the grasses, seed heads and flowers are eco, naturally dried, nothing dyed or preserved.
